Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production at Univision. In this role, she had the opportunity to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed as a reporter by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1985, in Mexico City. Also, she has a younger sibling. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. The couple divorced within a short time and in 1995, she was married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was provided with the opportunity of a job. As a senior in high school and yet with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her needs. It turned out that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. Following her graduation from her high school education, she chose to attend the University with a major with Media Studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities instilled confidence in her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his expectations and never fail him.
